Free AI Shopping Readiness Checker

Shoppers now start with ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI. This tool reads a product page the way those agents do and tells you whether they can find, understand, and recommend it — then what to fix. Free, no signup, results in seconds.

AI shopping readiness is how well a product page exposes the signals that AI shopping agents rely on to recommend a product: Product structured data, price and availability, a product identifier like a GTIN, reviews, merchant trust signals such as returns and shipping, buyer-question content, and whether AI crawlers are even allowed to read the page. This checker grades each one from a product URL and gives you a readiness score with specific fixes. Free, no signup, no AI tokens.
Enter a single product page URL (not the homepage). We read that page's public HTML and its robots.txt — a fast, rules-based read, no AI model is queried and nothing is stored. See a sample result →

measured = a signal we could confirm is missing from your page. suggestion = a best practice worth adding, not a hard requirement.
Apps that close these gaps
Compare to competitors

AI recommends the best option, not just an adequate one. Paste 1–2 rival product URLs to see how your signals stack up.

This is a fast, rules-based read of the one product page you entered and its robots.txt. It does not query ChatGPT or any model, so it can't tell you the exact answer an AI would give — it tells you whether your page exposes the signals those engines rely on. If your store renders schema in the browser, it may not appear here (or to a crawler that skips JavaScript); server-rendered Product and Offer JSON-LD is the fix. Use this to find the obvious gaps, then confirm in Google's Rich Results Test.

What the checker looks at

The six things AI shopping agents read before they'll recommend a product — all checked from the public page, no login, nothing stored.

Product identity & data

Product schema, price, currency, availability, brand, a GTIN/MPN/SKU, and breadcrumbs — the core facts an agent needs to price and match your item.

Reviews & authority

AggregateRating schema, review count, and visible ratings — one of the strongest signals AI leans on when it picks one product over another.

Merchant trust signals

Organization schema, a stated return policy, shipping and delivery terms, and warranty — what agents check before recommending a merchant.

Buyer-question coverage

Specs and attributes (size, material, compatibility), an FAQ, and a real description — the content that answers the questions that trigger a recommendation.

Commercial data hygiene

Machine-readable price and currency, a canonical URL, and Open Graph product tags so your listing is clean and shareable.

AI crawler access

Whether GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot are allowed in robots.txt. Block a crawler and that engine can never recommend you.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI shopping readiness?

It's how well a product page exposes the signals AI shopping agents (ChatGPT Shopping, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini) need to read and recommend a product: Product structured data, price and availability, a product identifier like a GTIN, reviews, merchant trust signals such as returns and shipping, buyer-question content, and whether AI crawlers are allowed to read the page. This tool grades each one from a product URL and returns a readiness score with fixes.

Is this checker free?

Yes. It's completely free with no account and no limit. It reads the public product page you enter plus its robots.txt, and stores nothing. There's no AI or paid API on our side, so there's nothing to charge for.

Does it call ChatGPT or any AI model?

No. The check is a fast rules-based read of your page's structured data, meta tags, on-page text, and robots.txt. It doesn't query ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any model, so it can't tell you the exact answer an AI would give. It tells you whether your page exposes the signals those engines rely on to recommend a product.

Why did it miss my product schema?

Some stores render Product structured data in the browser with JavaScript, so it's not in the raw HTML the checker reads. If your schema loads client-side, an AI crawler that doesn't run JavaScript may miss it too. The fix is to output Product and Offer JSON-LD in the server-rendered HTML.

Does it work on any store, not just Shopify?

Yes. It works on any public product page — Shopify, WooCommerce, or a custom stack — because it checks universal signals like schema.org structured data and Open Graph tags. The app recommendations are geared to Shopify merchants.
