Support & Tutorials
Everything you need to install, configure, and get the most out of PopBoost's 7 conversion widgets.
🚀 Installation
Get PopBoost running on your Shopify store in under 2 minutes.
1
Install from the Shopify App Store
Search for PopBoost in the App Store and click Install. Approve the requested permissions to continue.
PopBoost only needs read access to products, orders, and customers — it cannot modify your store data.
2
Start your 14-day free trial
After installing you'll land on the PopBoost dashboard. The Announcement Bar is free forever. Click Upgrade to unlock all 7 widgets — no charge until the trial ends.
3
Enable widgets & add to your theme
Toggle widgets on from the dashboard, then add them to your storefront using the Theme Editor. Both steps are required — see the sections below.
🎨 Add Widgets to Your Theme
PopBoost widgets are App Embeds — simple on/off toggles inside the Theme Editor. No drag-and-drop, no code needed.
1
Open the Theme Editor
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
2
Open App Embeds
In the left sidebar, click the App Embeds icon (puzzle piece). You'll see all PopBoost widgets listed there.
App Embeds appear on every page of your store automatically. Widgets that only apply to product pages (Countdown Timer, Stock Countdown, Product Badges) will auto-detect the page type.
3
Toggle on & customize colors
Toggle each widget on, then click it to open its color and style settings on the left. Click Save when done.
All color and visual settings (gradients, border radius, sizing) are configured here in the Theme Editor. Business settings like thresholds and message text are in the PopBoost admin app.
⚡ Enable & Configure Widgets
The dashboard controls which widgets are active. Each widget also has a dedicated settings page.
1
Toggle a widget on
In the PopBoost admin, find the widget and click Enable. Pro-only widgets show a lock on the Free plan — click Upgrade to unlock.
2
Open Configure for detailed settings
Each widget's Configure button opens its settings page — message text, thresholds, timing, and behavior. Colors are set in the Theme Editor.
3
Add the block in the Theme Editor
Enabling a widget makes it available. To display it on your storefront, you still need to add its App Block in the Theme Editor.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about installation, widgets, and billing.
Enabling a widget in the dashboard makes it available but does not automatically display it. You also need to add the App Block in the Theme Editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize). Find it under "Apps" in the block list, place it, and click Save.
PopBoost requires a theme that supports Shopify Online Store 2.0 (App Blocks). All modern free Shopify themes (Dawn, Sense, Refresh, Craft) are compatible. Older themes built before 2021 may need to be updated or replaced. Contact your theme developer or switch to a free Shopify theme to use App Blocks.
No. PopBoost uses Shopify's native App Block system — only widgets you've actually added to your theme are loaded, and only on the pages where you've placed them. Each widget is lightweight CSS/HTML. There are no third-party script loaders or external CDN requests.
You get full access to all 7 widgets for 14 days at no charge. After 14 days, you're automatically billed $19/month or $180/year. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged. No hidden fees or setup costs.
Yes — go to PopBoost → Plans and click "Cancel subscription." You keep access until the end of your billing period. You can also cancel from Shopify admin under Settings → Apps and Sales Channels → PopBoost.
The popup fetches recent orders from your store. If there are no recent orders, nothing displays. New orders may take up to 5 minutes to appear due to caching. Make sure you have at least a few fulfilled orders in your Shopify admin.
Both plans include all 7 widgets and the 14-day free trial. Annual is $180/year ($15/month) vs $19/month on the monthly plan — saving $48 per year. The features are identical on both plans.
Colors, gradients, border radius, and sizing are all configured in the Theme Editor → App Embeds. Click any PopBoost widget in the App Embeds list to open its visual settings. The PopBoost admin app handles business settings like threshold amounts, message text, and timing.
